This includes contact details, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number and social media handles; Account login credentials, such as usernames and passwords, password hints and similar security information; other account registration and profile information, including professional and background information, such as educational information, current title/position, field(s) of research, gender identity, ORCID ID and photo; content that you upload or that is stored in your account, such as annotations and comments; content that you generate as part of the peer review process, such as payment information, such as a credit or debit card number, and government-issued ID numbers; Information that you communicate to us, such as questions or information you send to our support department; Data that you provide to us as part of interacting with the Service, such as favorites, liked articles and search queries; and/or Communications preferences, such as the frequency, and type of the alerts you sign up to receive.
If you are an author, we collect the information you provide via the submission process.
We may automatically collect information about how you and your device interact with the Service, such as: Computer, device and connection information, e.g., IP address, browser/version, operating system and other software installed on your device, unique device identifier and other technical identifiers, error reports and performance data; the physical location of your device(s); usage data, partciularly the number of articles you access each month and which articles you have previosuly accessed, as well as features you used, the settings you selected, backlinks, URL click stream data, including date and time stamp and referring and exit and other non-article pages you have visited.
We collect these data through the use of cookies and other technologies. You can control cookies through your browser's settings and other tools. However, if you choose to block certain cookies, you may not be able to make full use of our site. Blocking cookies can prevent you from registering, logging in or accessing certain pages or features.
How We Use It
We use the information above to provide and manage your access to and use of the site; to process transactions; to offer you customized content; to provide personalization of experience; to improve the efficiency of access of articles and information for you; to enhance and expand the content and features we offer; to keep you up-to-date on offerings and changes to our site, hournal and policies; to deliver targeted information related to your interests; to provide technical support; to improve safety and security; and/or to study usage trends and analyze authorship data for the purposes of internal audits and feature development. We also sue the information to communicate with you and to invite you to review manuscripts or to submit manuscripts of your own.
How We Share It
Currently, the data you provide us is not shared outside of our company, though data may pass through third party companies that provide data handling services to our company.
We will disclose your personal information if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to:
- meet any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation;
- detect, investigate and help prevent security, fraud or technical issues; and/or
- protect the rights, safety or property of Future Science Ventures, Inc., AJIntS, our users, employees or others
